Glad you have visited this site. I'm Til Turner, and I hope to offer some wonderful listening material for the whole family. I am a college English instructor and writer living in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. When not writing, grading essays, managing my wife's yoga studio, or tending to our collection of felines, I enjoy good music, conversation, reading, and audio books. I have spent a good deal of time in the crazy, magical world of theatre as a set designer and scenic artist. The time spent in the performing arts instilled a fascination with "liminal" space, that dividing line between what is real and what is perceived as real. There is no better place to evidence liminality than the imaginary line that separates off stage from on stage. It serves as a reminder that "there are more things in heaven and earth ..." and that we are as much products of our careers as our hopes, dreams, and fears. As time passes I hope to incorporate music and additional voices in the podcasts. I sincerely feel that stories and poetry make us better people and greatly enrich our lives.
